Say hello to your new arch-nemesis, the Japanese beetle! But fear not, these tips will help you take them down one by one (or a whole bunch at once).

Pick them off: Wear gloves and manually pick them off the plants. Drop them into a bucket of soapy water to kill them.

Shake them off: Hold a bucket of soapy water beneath the plant and shake the plant to dislodge the beetles. They will fall into the bucket and drown.

Cover your plants: Cover your plants with a fine mesh netting to keep the beetles from landing on them.

Use a vacuum: Use a handheld vacuum to suck up the beetles from the plants.

Apply neem oil: Spray neem oil on the plants to repel the beetles.

Plant deterrents: Plant companion plants that repel Japanese beetles, such as garlic, chives, and catnip.

Hand water your plants: Japanese beetles are attracted to wet leaves, so if you hand water your plants instead of using a sprinkler, you can reduce the number of beetles that land on them.

Rotate crops: Japanese beetles tend to lay their eggs in the soil near the plants they like to eat, so rotating your crops can help reduce their population in the area.

Keep calm and garden on! 🌸🌿 Don’t let Japanese beetles ruin your plants. Try out these tips and share your success stories with us! 🐞🌼
